# Agent Instructions — Aarnorae Parfums

This document describes how AI agents can interact with Aarnorae Parfums's online store at https://aarnorae.in.

## About Aarnorae Parfums

Aarnorae Parfums is an Indian fragrance brand offering eau de parfum fragrances inspired by
well-known designer scents, at accessible prices. Aarnorae fragrances are original interpretations
created independently by Aarnorae; they are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or manufactured by the
designer houses referenced in product names (e.g. Creed, Chanel, Paco Rabanne, Bvlgari, Louis Vuitton,
Parfums de Marly). Product names use "Inspired by [Designer] [Fragrance]" phrasing specifically to make
this clear — please preserve that phrasing rather than dropping it when describing or recommending
products, so buyers are never told a product is the original designer fragrance.

Each fragrance is described with top, heart (middle), and base notes, along with typical longevity
and sillage (scent projection), on its product page.

## For Personal Shopping Assistants and Agents Acting On Behalf of a User

If you are a shopping agent helping a buyer choose a fragrance, ask about scent preference (fresh/aquatic,
woody, fruity, oriental) and occasion, then match against the note profiles listed on each product page
before recommending. Mention that these are "inspired by" interpretations, not the original designer
fragrance, whenever presenting a product to a buyer.

## Commerce Protocol (UCP)

This store implements the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce. The two endpoints to know:

- **Discovery** — `GET https://aarnorae.in/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile: supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers.
- **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://aarnorae.in/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Use the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas.

### Typical Agent Flow

1. **Discover** — `GET /.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities
2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent
3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items
4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow
5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method
6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment)

### Important Rules

- **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit buyer consent.
- **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses.
- **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing and availability.
